Brady's 7th Birthday Party

This year the boys had a double birthday party. Colby had his party first, then all of the kids swam together, and then we had a party for Brady. It worked out pretty well. Many of the families were there for the entire thing due to having older and younger kids. Time went by pretty fast though- 3 hours total. I'm glad to be done. : )
Ok, sometimes this thing puts the pictures on in order and sometimes they go in reverse order, and I can't figure out how to move them. So, you'll have to figure it out. : ) Sorry.
I'm gonna get 'em all!
Deep breath!
Another great cake by Mema. This is a Poke ball in case you aren't down with 7 year old boy toys.

Brady read all of his and all of Colby's cards this year.
Yay- present time!
Brady proud of the smoke from his 7 candles.
Get that last one!

Brady loves the slide at this pool.

Brady's friend Anna.

The boys playing ball. Jake (from school), Brady and Anthony.
This is one of Brady's favorite things to do at this pool. There are buckets that fill with water and then dump out. He likes to throw a ball into the bucket so that the ball dumps out with the water.
This is Brady's friend Emma. They were born almost 3 months apart. His mom used to teach with me and we were pregnant together twice. But as you can see, she had 2 girls and I had 2 boys- go figure!

Emma showing off her big girl teeth.

This is Brady's friend Anthony. He is our neighbor. The boys love playing together and were on the same Tball team this year.
Brady doing some big arm swimming.

Lillian and Allison hanging out. Anna playing with brother Jimmy.

Colby's 3rd Birthday Party

My baby is growing up. He loves Darth Vader right now. Mema makes great cakes!
These are our neighbors, Lee and Allie. Allie is a few weeks younger than Colby. Or Tolby as she calls him.
Sara and Jimmy enjoy cake and ice cream.
Colby and Allie chowing down.

Marty and baby Jackson. Jackson is just over 3 months old.
Colby and Daddy sliding.

Big arm swimming for Colby. He is getting really good. He got to take lessons by himself this time without Mom in the pool. The listening is a little tricky, but he is a great swimmer. He is in level 3 with mostly 4 and 5 year olds.

Here I come!
Rah- I'm gonna get you!
Jen and baby Jackson. This is Colby's friend Desiree. They are only a few days apart in age. Desiree gets ready to jump!

This is Colby's friend Jimmy. They are a few days apart in age. He and Colby and playing catch.
Woohoo love that slide!
I believe I can fly!
Goggle face... followed by Raccoon face!

This is Colby's friend Sara, they are 2 months apart in age. Sara enjoyed going down the slide backwards.
Desiree is practicing her floating skills.
Belly flop Colby!
Sara is having a ball!

Conversation in the Car

Brady: Hey Mom, this hat was "Made in China". We could go there and get more.
Mom: You're right.
Colby: Hey Mom, Harlow (baby at daycare) was made in China. We could go there and get a Harlow.
Brady: No Colby, there's only one Harlow. We could get another baby though.
Colby: No, I want a Harlow. She's so cute.

Happy 7th Birthday Brady!

We spent the weekend in Seattle watching the Tigers play the Mariners. The Tigers won 2 of 3 games. We stayed at the Hyatt again, where the players stay. Todd finally got his Brandon Inge jersey signed and the boys got their hat bills filled with signatures. It got to the point where Colby would just take his hat off and hand it to any player he saw. He missed out on Magglio though, and is still sad about it. Brady got Pudge, so he is glowing. Colby kept taking off his hat and asking who all the signatures were. Then he's say, "I gotta get Magglio at the field."

Cost of gas to get to Seattle: $60

Cost of tickets to 3 games: more than any other ball park I've been to, you'd cringe if I told you

Cost of 2 nights at the Hyatt: I don't want to admit to that one either

The smiles on the boys' faces (all 3 of them): Priceless
