My Budding Artist

While Todd and I laid in bed this morning trying to pretend the kids were not up, Brady was down in the office creating. He does this all the time. He grabs computer paper, scissors, and tape and goes to town. I think of myself as creative, but I am not one to do this type of thing. Last week he built several leprechaun traps.
In case you can't figure it out, this is Goofy, our new mini dachshund. The ears flap up and down. It is by far the cutest thing I have ever seen!
In case you weren't sure, he labeled this part for you. : )

Happy Easter!

For the last few years we have been going to hunt at the Fire Station, but it has gotten more and more crowded every year. Last year Brady had to go with the big kids, got pushed down, and by the time he got up everything was gone. He cried the whole way home. This year he decided he didn't want to go to any Egg Hunts because of what happened last year. Well, on Saturday morning we were driving home and saw a local church throwing out tons of eggs. I eventually convinced Brady that we should take Colby and watch him. Well, on the way he decided to hunt himself as long as it wasn't crowded. It had taken me so long to convince him, that by the time we got there, the 0-2 hunt was already in progress. The 3-6 hunt was pretty crowded, but there were only 7 kids at the 7 and up hunt and a ton of eggs. I decided that the boys could fend for themselves and so we waited for the 7 and up hunt to begin.
I told Brady to run to the back where no one was and start there. He actually followed my directions instead of grabbing the first thing he came to.
Colby on the other hand was thrilled to just slowly gather his eggs.
What a beautiful day!

As you can see, the baskets are full! Brady was so happy. I told him that this was the way that egg hunts were supposed to be.
The boys came home with TONS of candy. Of course Todd was more than happy to help with that. : )
Hoppy Easter everyone!

Brady's 1st Grade Concert

Brady had a ball singing Disney tunes. He and his friends watched Mary Poppins over and over after learning the songs from it. They also sang songs from Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Book, etc.
Each class had different colored hats, so these are Brady's classmates. They almost all showed up. That never happens at my school.
We had a ball watching and video taping.

Our Little Daredevil

The boys were in the backyard playing on an unusually warm winter day when Brady hit a ball over the fence. This happens all the time and Todd routinely fetches them at the end of the day. Apparently today, Colby wanted to make sure that he knew where the ball went. So, that's a chair with a bike on it. When I first looked out the window, he was pulled up with his chin over the top of the fence. I (of course) sent Todd out to get him before I got the camera. The only reason he is coming down is because Todd had just arrived and was telling him to get down. No wonder the kid has been to the ER twice for stitches.
