More Snow

Ok, after my last post, the snow kept falling. Then we got a layer of ice- of course. Then more snow. By Christmas we had 16 inches total. The most snow on the ground on Christmas - ever. The boys loved it and Todd eventually got tired of clearing off the driveway and patio. It finally started raining over the weekend and now most of the snow is gone. Yay! I'm ready to get out of the house!
Goofy only liked to be out if he was cozy in my coat.

WEEE!

Snow Day

Well, the week started off with threats of snow that never came to much. We had school on Monday and Tuesday and the kids had indoor recess because it was in the 20s and windy. We stayed home on Wednesday due to the "snow". HA! There was never anything to play in. Then, when we woke up on Thursday it was coming down in buckets... and they never cancelled school. Brady was ticked! We waited at home until the last possible moment thinking that they would eventually cancel it. We were there all day and when we left it had all melted. Brady cried on the way home, "I'll never get to play in the snow. Can we go to Michigan?" Uh, no. When we woke up on Friday there was plenty of snow and no school- so the boys FINALLY got to play. Yay! The snow continues to fall today... and they are outside. I'm sure I'll have more pics for you all soon!

Family Pictures

My friend, Rebecca, took our family pictures at the end of September. She has been laboring over them to make them "just right", and I am now allowed to show them. he he
Thanks Bec!
I stole this photo idea!
I love this one- he looks so grown up!

I really like the eyes in this one!

She got some cute ones of Colby! Gotta love those Fred Flintstone feet!

I love the orange shirt with the sucker!

This is my favorite one of Colby!

The caption with this one- "Do I have to take more pictures?"

It was a beautiful day. We went to a neighborhood park that is right around the corner. The boys were pretty content... until the end.

Bec had this great idea to have the kids between our legs... but there wasn't one that I liked everyone in... oh well. I guess I'm picky!

So, I now have three seperate pictures that I like!

Halloween

The boys had fun trick-or-treating. My pictures didn't turn out so well- a little blurry. Oh well! They put on their costumes every other day, so I'll take more. : )
This is my favorite!

Colby Gets Stitches... again!

The people at the hospital are going to be turning me in to Child Protection soon. Colby's head must have the same magnet in it that Todd has... this is his 3rd facial scar. I know he didn't get the clumsy gene from me! he he
This is what happens when you're dancing in the family room and don't stop when mom warns you that someone is going to get hurt. Brady stopped, Colby spun one last time... and then collided with the table. 3 hours and 4 stitches later... he is a tough one though. No tears after the initial injury. He doesn't seem to mind the hospital... he should be able to tell me how to get there soon.

How many days until Halloween?

That's all I hear at my house...
My toes probably don't help.

Pumpkin Patch

We took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch early this year. The weather was beautiful... and you never know how long it will last... so we went. The boys had already been with their grandparents, so they were excited to show us all of the changes this year.
Brady had fun punching the sunflowers. Of course he had to inspect them for bees first.

The rule is: You have to be able to carry your own pumpkin.
I can't find any bugs.
My boys LOVE to have their picture taken.
Please tell me that someone did this on purpose! Otherwise... it's a little spooky.
There were a million people looking for pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. Colby was bug hunting. "Oooh Mommy, a green lady bug."
"My bug flew away...again!"

There is a pumpkin launch area where you put a small pumpkin into a sling shot and launch it at barrels in the distance. Colby was VERY upset that his pumpkin didn't go into the barrel. He really wanted a prize... he didn't even know what the prize was... but he wanted it anyway.

Brady is starting to look a little big for a pony. But the weight limit was 80 pounds... poor ponies!

The boys had their two pumpkins all picked out to launch... then Colby dropped one. It took him like five minutes to get them both picked up again... it was hilarious. I don't even think he knows we were amused. He was determined though... don't help me!
Got 'em!
It's too sunny Mom!

The hay pyramid is always a popular place. They stack the bales so that there are tunnels and the boys are in and out and up and over....

"I'm king of the world!"
There was a pony ride this year. The boys have only been on horses a few times, but love them... where did they get that gene? Not from me!
Both of the boys just LOVE animals. Colby is constantly asking for a baby animal..."because they're soooo cute" he always says. He has asked for tigers, camels... you name it.

Brady kept talking about riding on the tractors. I just figured it was a big one you could sit on for a picture... but then he showed me. Oooooh.

Fun was had by all... now for the carving...ugh!
