We go to the zoo on Labor Day every year. It is generally pretty empty. This year it was a little more crowded because a baby elephant was born about a week ago. They say it weighed 268 pounds at birth... pretty heavy. We had to wait in a long line and then go in single-file to see it. You must be very quiet, keep moving, and not use flash photography. These pictures aren't bad. He was very cute- romping around in the tree limbs. Mom kept pushing him around with her trunk. (Come to think of it, I'm not sure if it is a male or female.)
